If you are thinking of coming and flying with us at Edgewater Park in Cleveland or at any of our events, you should look to the weather. Since we live next to that large weather machine called Lake Erie, the saying "If you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes and it will change." is not a joke. In this vein, here are some of the weather links to find out what is going on.
Let's start with the boss of them all, the National Weather Service at http://www.nws.noaa.gov If you have the time to wade thru tons of data, don't let us stop you. It's here. or go to: http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Cleveland&state=OH&site=CLE&textField1=41.4797&textField2=-81.6785 This is the page for the National Weather Service in Cleveland. Next is the Weather Channel web page for Cleveland Ohio http://www.weather.com/weather/local/USOH0195 This page is for the weather at Cleveland Hopkins Airport. If you are coming down to Edgewater Park you might want to look at http://www.weather.com/weather/local/44114 This is Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport, instead of Cleveland Hopkins Airport, which is 10 miles inland from the lake. Believe it or not the weather at the lakefront can be radically different from the two airports. (Remember we are not supposed to fly near an airport).
Or you might want to look at http://www.eycweb.com/ Then click on the “Club Info” tab and then near the bottom on the “Weather Station” listing. This is the weather page from our fellow user of the the Edgewater basin to the East, The Edgewater Yacht Club
